“What Will You Sacrifice For Your Witness?”

I Corinthians 13:11

•		There are many that don’t get it; they tend to lay their testimony down, when it took their testimony for them to be in here now!
•		In order to gain your miracle, you have to think like Him, have the mind of Christ!
•		Seed into the direction you’re going, where God is taking you. Every one that puts something on this altar, I will pray and stand in agreement with you before I leave here tonight! If your faith says it is so, I stand with you on that!
•		You are oiled, you may not be singing on the choir or playing on the stage, you have to know that you matter!
•		Many of you cannot access your godly possibilities because you are acting like a child! Many of you are entangled in relationships with your mate, friend or foe and you just want to tell them to grow up! (V.11)
•		Illustration: Being stopped by the police, and being frisked, Bro. Michael Brook’s said it was like being married; at some point you have to look in the mirror and say I’m married now!
•		When you are committed/married to something, you want to bring it to a place of perfection – you want to see it completed!
•		It’s a process! Anytime you engage in something new, it’s a process!
•		Your childish understanding does not help you when you begin to mature as an adult! Everything about your life is a front! Sitting on the front row like the woman sittin’ next to you is your girlfriend! No she’s not! Stop frontin’!
•		Some of you really need to check some of the things you do and see if they fall in the child-like category, and if they do, do me a favor and put ‘em away!

I Corinthians 14:3

•

I prophesy unto you to build you up!

Ephesians 4: 11 – 12

•		We will church hop, won’t we? When people find out about our dirt!
•		It’s important that you understand the purpose of ministry
•		The grace of God is sufficient! It does not discriminate! If it had not been for His grace, I definitely wouldn’t be in here right now!
•		V.11 – This is where we get the phrase, “five-fold ministry.” Everybody is not called to do the same thing!!

Our purpose is three-fold!

For the perfecting of the saints – to bring God’s people to a standard of perfection! (V.12)

•		Look at me with your perfect self! Don’t be afraid of that! I know some are saying, “But Pastor, none are perfect but Him!” Well, I want to be like Him!
•		Don’t be afraid to profess it! You’re oiled for purpose, and after you put it out there, look at me, you better wear it!

For the work of the ministry – that the people of God may understand that they are called to be partakers of the work, not nosey thrill seekers and bystanders! (V.12)

•

Use your job as an opportunity to witness without getting fired! You can be an effective witness without holding a revival in the break-room!

For the edification of the saints – to build up God’s people, tell them that they can make it!

I Corinthians 9:19-23

•		What will I sacrifice for my witness?
•		It’s imperative for you to believe in you!
•		People struggle with this: Not only do I have a past, I might have to revisit it, go back there to witness!
•		Servants! (V.19)
•		There are those that were bound by legalism, and Paul became like them to win them!
•		You might have to lose your title! I’m willing to lose my title to witness to God’s people!
•		Whatever you call your success level, that place where God placed you, stop denying who you are! Open up a window and testify!
•		Paul said, “Even those that don’t have the knowledge, no covering whatsoever, I’ll minister to them!” (V.21)
•		This is where you get the right to minister outside the 4-wall structure!
•		What’s inside you? That thing that you’ve gone through, the scar you wear, let it shine and use it to testify of His goodness!
